Cathy L. (Gregory) Thomas

Cathy L. Thomas, 70, of Tiffin, died at 10:23 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2020, at Promedica Toledo Hospital.

She was born December 26, 1949, in Tiffin, to Glenn and Eileen (Haley) Gregory.  She married her high school sweetheart, Alvin Thomas, October 31, 1970, at the Hopewell Church of God, and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage.

Surviving is her husband, Alvin, a son, Allen R. Thomas of Tiffin; a granddaughter, Noelle Houston; and two sisters, Glenna Plank of Jane Kesler, both of Tiffin.

Preceding her in death are her parents and an infant daughter.

Cathy was a 1969 Columbian High School graduate, was a homemaker and had worked at Ballreich’s for five years. She was also a seamstress for Leiner’s Men Clothing in the 1980s. She was a member of the United Baptist Church of Tiffin, and she enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and adult coloring books.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio  44883 (419)447-3113.

Visitation will also be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020, until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at United Baptist Church. Rev. Jess Caro will officiate, with burial following in Fairmont Cemetery.
