Catherine A. Pinkston, 89, of Tiffin, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born Jan. 11, 1928, in Tiffin to Herman and Adeline (Zoeller) Reinbolt. She married Donal A. Pinkston from Lawrence County, Arkansas Aug. 5, 1950, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel. He died Apr. 14, 2006.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Pinkston of Tiffin and Chris (Sue) Pinkston of Box Elder, South Dakota; and a daughter, Debra Pinkston of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Peggy Evans, Elizabeth Scripps and Catherine Pinkston; six great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Steven, Sienna, Christian, Sophia, and Scarlett; and a sister, Mary Schriner of Tiffin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Arthur Reinbolt; sister, Martha Schriner, and two brothers-in-law, Walter and Ronnie Schriner.
Catherine was a 1946 graduate of New Riegel High School. She was employed from 1946 to 1985 at General Electric Company with 35 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the G.E. Quarter Century Club, Moose, and Widows and Widowers. Together, Catherine and Don started a family business; Don’s Siding in 1957 until his death.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2017, with a wake service at 5:30, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2017, at St. Mary Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
