Carolyn J. Fetzer, 82, of Tiffin, died at 11:22 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital emergency room. She was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Napoleon to Richard and Bernita (Bickford) Yarnell. She married John Fetzer June 2, 1962, in Napoleon and he survives.
Other survivors include two sons, James Fetzer of Cleveland; Joseph Fetzer of Marblehead; a daughter, Jane Houdeshell of Tiffin; a grandson, Clayton Houdeshell of Tiffin; and a sister-in-law, Annabelle Yarnell of Deshler.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Richard Yarnell.
Carolyn was a graduate of Napoleon High School and Flower Hospital Nurses Training. She was a registered nurse, worked for Dr. Lupica and Dr. Scherer, and she also had worked at the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Allen Eiry Senior Center, Penthouse, Bridge Club, Antique Club, Tiffin Women of the Moose. She enjoyed making stained glass projects at Allen Eiry Senior Center and was actively involved as a volunteer at St. Francis Spirit Space Gift Shop.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Fri. Feb. 5, 2016, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883. (419) 447-3113. The Professional Nurses Club will perform a prayer service at 2 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Sat. Feb. 6, 2016 at Faith United Methodist Church. Rev. Jeff Lanzer will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Allen Eiry Senior Center or to a charity of the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
