Carol Ann Holscher, 85, of Tiffin, died at 4:17 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2021, at St. Francis Home. She was born August 23, 1935, in Denver, Colo. to Gerald John and Marcella Ann (Thillman) Holscher, Sr.
Survivors include two brothers, David (Carole) Holscher of Huron, and Gerald (Sandra) Holscher of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Marcella “Sally” (Douglas) Smith of Sunbury, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Ralph Sackett of Fostoria.
Carol was a 1953 St. Mary’s High School, Sandusky graduate, 1962 University of Detroit graduate with a B.S. E. Degree and 1969 Bowling Green State University with a M. of E. She taught elementary school at Our Lady Queen of Heaven, Detroit, Mich. 1955-1964 Cardinal Stritch High School, Oregon, 1965-1971 and Tiffin Columbian High School, 1971-1996. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Seneca County Genealogical Society, Seneca County Retired Teachers, Tiffin Business and Professional Women.
A masked walkthrough visitation will be 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay respects, and exit without lingering.
The funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Rev. Joseph Szybka. The rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
