Carmella A. McLaughlin

Carmella A. McLaughlin, 86 of Tiffin, died at Noon, Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

She was born Oct. 6, 1929, to Antonio and Angelica (Ripepi) Calabro, in Vandergrift, Pa.  She married Dean J. McLaughlin, May, 10, 1968, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin and he survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Gary McLaughlin of Tiffin; Denis (Lori Conley) McLaughlin, of Helena; two daughters, Linda (Robert) Brose of Tiffin, and Renee Maloy of Bucyrus; six grandchildren, Kristina, Heather, Eric, Evelyn, Hailey and Pam; four step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and 11 step-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Amelia (John) Marhefka and Mickey Sack, both of Vandergrift.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Catherine Goedicke and Antoinette Trisoli.

Carmella was retired from Foodtown, after more than 15 years of service in the meat department and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was an avid knitter and donated baby blankets and knitted apparel to St. Jude's.  She was also the caretaker of the Sorrowful Mother Church on Middle Bass Island.

There will be no visitation.

The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.  The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
