Carl R. Terry, age 74 years, of Westwood Drive, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 12:12 p.m. Saturday July 2, 2005 at Ruffing Family Care Center in Tiffin.
He was born on Dec. 10, 19130 in Kansas, Ohio, the son of Harvey L. and Hazel (Krupp) Terry. He married Martha Mann in 1956 and she died in 1992. On May 10, 1993, he married Thelma Hoffman who survives.
Other survivors include: 2 sons, Daniel W. Terry; and David S. Terry, both of Tiffin; 2 stepdaughters, Cherie (Cecil) Mulvane of Bloomville; and Diana Rubert of Tiffin; 4 grandchildren, Monica, Matt, Haley and Brandon; a great-grandchild, Lily Mae; 4 step grandchildren, Curtis, Sharie, Andrea and Gina; 4 step great grandchildren, Dylan, Brittany, Kayla and Austin; 5 brothers, Clayton Terry of Tiffin; James Terry of Lexington, TN; Boyd Terry of Tiffin; Morris Terry of Aikens S.C.; and Jerry Terry of Tiffin; 4 sisters, Mary Ann McGowan of Tiffin; Arluene Mizen of Bascom; Thelma Cameron, and Opal Goodin both of Tiffin. 3 brothers, Leslie, Vernon and Gordon Terry preceded him in death.
Mr. Terry retired in 1980 after many years as a group leader at Basic Refractory near Bettsville. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, in rural Tiffin. Other memberships include Eagles, Moose and the V.F.W.
Pastor Norman Grimes will officiate the funeral service at Traunero Funeral Home 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883. (419) 447-3113. Burial will take place immediately following the service in Pleasant Ridge (Egberts) Cemetery on SR 101 Tiffin. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Martha Terry.
