Bonnite Odessa “Bonnie” Mizen, 90, of Tiffin, died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
Bonnie was born June 9, 1928, in Republic to Addie and Nina (Snay) Wenner. She married John J. Mizen and he died in 1980.
Survivors include a son, James Mizen of Republic; two daughters, Linda (Jim) Shrode and Sandy (Fred) Ritter, both of Tiffin; 13 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, John J. Mizen, Jr. in 2007, two daughters, Crystal Ann Mizen, in 1985,whose daughter Kisha, she raised, and Bonny Boner, in 2006; three grandchildren, Neil Ragle, Nathan Hunker, and Amanda DeWald; a brother, Bill Wenner, two sisters Evelyn Suffacool and Freda Daniel.
Bonnie was a housewife and she owned a fish cleaning business. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, loved to fish and was an amazing cook.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Tiffin.
A Funeral service will follow at 4:15 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Charlene Thomas officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center or to the family.
