She was born Jun. 4, 1926, in Cottageville, West Virginia to Herbert and Iva (Hartley) Lloyd.  She married Alden Baker, her loving husband of 57 years, Dec. 4, 1944, until his death in 2001 and has now been reunited with him in Heaven.

Survivors include two sons, Herbert Baker of Aiea, Hawaii, Rick Baker of Tiffin; four daughters, Susan (Stacy) Feller of Tiffin, Kathy (Nicholas) Elchert of Port Clinton, Patty (Rick) Kauffman, of Tiffin, Tracy (Steve) Haughawout of Bloomdale, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a special angel, Angie Kuzma, her dedicated care giver.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and four siblings.

Blanche was a 1944 Attica High School graduate.  She was a co-owner of Alden Baker Trucking Company.   She had also worked at S.S. Kresge many years ago.  She spent her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Blanche loved accompanying Alden in their semi throughout the years.

Blanche always put her family and others first no matter what her needs were.  She was an avid seamstress, especially known for hand-sewing Barbie and Ken clothes for many years.  She also made most of her personal wardrobe as well as clothes for her daughters and grandchildren.  She loved taking family photos at every chance.  Blanche attended countless auto races with her husband and continued to watch on TV after his passing.  Flower gardening was another one of Blanche’s loves for years.  She also loved to play the organ to all types of music and also taught her grandchildren to play.  She loved country music, especially Johnny Cash, Roy Acuff, and the Grand Ole Opry.  She enjoyed watching American Ninja Warrior, Reba and FOX news on television.
