B. Joan McCrory, 82, of Sandusky Street, Tiffin, died at 3:45pm Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

She was born April 15, 1924 in Tiffin to the late Henry and Isabella (Bishop) Daniel. On October 4, 1947 in Tiffin, she married William McCrory and he survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Charles and Dmitri McCrory, both of Columbus; one daughter, Colleen Smith of Hubert, NC; two grandchildren, Kiara Miller and Sarah Oberdorff; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Louis Daniel of Bettsville; and one sister, Rosemary Evanoff of Woodstock, IL.

She is preceded in death by one son, William McCrory, II; and one sister, Irma McCrory.

Mrs. McCrory graduated from Calvert High School in 1942. She retired from the office of Drs. Lupica and Pagarigan, Tiffin Mercy Hospital, and also from the St. Francis Home. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Amvets Auxiliary, and St. Francis Auxiliary, where she volunteered for more than 25 years. Mrs. McCrory enjoyed Morning and Evening Prayers, craftwork, volunteer work and knitting and crocheting, specializing in lap robes and afgans.

The funeral Rite will be Friday, April 6, 2007 at 10:30am at St. Francis Chapel with the Rev. Richard Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 5, 2007 from 4pm to 8pm at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-3113. Visitation will also be on Friday, April 6, 2007 from 9:30am to 10:30am at St. Francis Chapel.

Contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, St. Rita School for the Deaf, or St. Francis Home in care of the funeral home.
