Betty R. Williams

Betty R. Williams, 83, of Tiffin, died at 10:08 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

She was born Aug. 13, 1932, in North Linthicum, Md. to George and Mary Cordelia (Lake) Roberts.  She married Richard J. Williams Feb. 13, 1953, in Cambridge Md.  He passed Feb. 3, 2013.

Survivors include a son, Richard (Melody) Williams; two daughters, JoAnn (David) King, and Kathy (Chris) Elchert all of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Chris (Mikki) King, Brian King, Kacie and Caden Elchert; three great grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon and Austin King all of Tiffin; two sisters, Anne (Fred) Windsor of Cambridge, Md. and Marie Greenhawk of East New Market, Md. and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, and brother-in-law, Jack Greenhawk.

Betty was a 1949 Cambridge High School graduate.  She was a homemaker while raising her family, and had also worked at Rosie's Soup and Such and Wyme's Restaurant.   Betty enjoyed Bingo and attending family events and activities.

Visitation for family and friends will be1-2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. Rev. Frank Murd will officiate at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 9419) 447-3113.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Humane Society of Seneca County or to Volunteers of America Autumnwood Auxiliary in care of the funeral home.
