Betty A. Traunero, age 82, of Tiffin, died at 1:04 am, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at her residence.
She was born March 2, 1930 in Cleveland, to Edmund and Hazel Bain.
Betty married William L. Traunero June 17, 1971 and he preceded her in death November 3, 1998.
Survivors include her children, Dr. Sharon (Craig) Zimmers of Dublin; Ira (Rita) Chaffee of Texas; Dorothy Graham of Fostoria; and Deana (Mike Ramsey)Thomson of Texas; a step-son, Thomas (Carol) Traunero of Tiffin; four step-daughters, Jane (Frank) Farero of Fla., Annette (Steve) Hill of Fostoria, Debra Traunero of Marion and Carol (Scott) Riffle of Grove City; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; a cousin June Buckner, of Fla.; a sister-in-law, Carol Bain, of Tiffin; and a good friend, Joann Selvey, of Tiffin.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Kenneth Chaffee; three brothers, Richard, Gerald, and Robert Bain; and a grandson Jason Jacobs.
Betty worked at General Electric and Jo Ann Fabrics. She also owned Betty’s Dolls. She was an avid card player at the Commission on Aging. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, baking and sewing.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug 17, 2012 and Saturday, Aug 18, 2012 from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Sat. Aug. 18, 2012 at the funeral home officiated by Rev. Donna Van Trees. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
