Bertie Clifton, 92, of Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Tiffin died at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky. She was born August 11, 1929, in Diana, West Virginia to Silas and Pearl (Hamrick) Cogar. She married Dwain E. Clifton April 3, 1947, in Webster Springs, West Virginia, and he died December 12, 1994.
Survivors include a son, Thomas (Barbara Hayes) Clifton of Lima, a daughter, Patsy (Dennis) Bagent of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Judd, Andrew (Mandi) Clifton; six great-grandchildren, Everett, Oren, and Simeon Judd, Mikayla, Makenzi and Mylie Clifton; two sisters, Janice Johnston of Fremont, and Linda Ringeisen of Port Orange Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, Nathan Clifton, five brothers, Coleman, Waymon, Harold, Ralph, and Daniel Cogar; and two sisters, Lola Tracy and Bethel Frame.
Bertie was employed for 12 years at Rite-Aid Pharmacy, and she worked as a home health caregiver. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Tiffin.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2022, at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Marilyn Coney. Burial will take place immediately following at Arcadia Memory Gardens.
