Beatrice A. Wahrer, age 72 of Tiffin, died at 10:30 am Sunday, June 22, 2008 in the Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin. She was born on June 8, 1936 in Tiffin to the late Edward and Florence (Hoerig) Weinandy. In 1952 in Angola, Indiana she married Charles Wahrer and he survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Charles Edward (Linda) Wahrer , Robert Wahrer, Wayne Wahrer all of Tiffin; John (Jeanne) Wahrer of New Riegel; a daughter Elizabeth Frederick of Fostoria; seven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; two brothers, Norman Weinandy of Bucyrus; James Weinandy of Tiffin; and a sister Eugenia Callahan of Tiffin.
Mrs. Wahrer was a homemaker, and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo at St. Mary’s Church.
Funeral Mass will be 10 am Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in St. Mary Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Timothy Ferris. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 24 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 419-447-3113. There will be a wake service at 3:45 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
