Anthony D. Leatherman, age 41, longtime resident of Tiffin Developmental Center, died at 4:25 am Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
He was born in Tiffin August 11, 1969, to Daniel and Sue (Shelt) Leatherman. His father resides in Arizona, and his mother and step-father, Pete and Sue Emmons, reside in Marysville, Ohio.
Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Donald and Bernadine Shelt, and paternal grandfather, George Leatherman.
Anthony was a former student at the Seneca County Opportunity Center and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Visitation is Monday, April 25, 2011, from 8:30 to 9:30 am, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113. Prayers will be said at 9:30 am at the funeral home, with the funeral Mass to follow at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited in church 20 minutes prior to Mass. Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
