Anna Veronica Bentz, age 86, formerly of Beechwood Avenue, Tiffin, Ohio died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006 in Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, Ohio. She was born on June 4, 1919 in New Riegel, Ohio to the late Anthony and Clara (Hoepf) Borer. On July 22, 1935 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, she married Vincent C. Bentz. He died on April 23, 1975.
Survivors include 3 sons, Charles (Helen) Bentz of Findlay, OH ; Robert (Lois) Bentz of Clyde, OH ; Michael (Mary) Bentz of Perrysburg, OH; 3 daughters, Joyce (Robert) McKinney of Tiffin, OH ; Marilyn (James) Miller, Fostoria, OH; Dorothy (John) Mabe of Seffner, FL; 20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Agnes Mathias, of Carey, OH; and Martha Kirchner of Tiffin, OH.
She is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Isabelle Steinmetz; Catherine Carp and Cecilia Borer.
Mrs. Bentz was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.
The Funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. Daniel Ring at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
