Ann Catherine (Schoen) Lucius, 72, of Tiffin, died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

Ann was born February 28, 1945, in Tiffin to Leo R. and Mildred L. (Swope) Schoen. She married Leonard Lucius June 1, 1974, at St. Joseph Catholic Church and he died June 29, 2010.

Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie (Regina Kipps) Lucius of Tiffin, Sarah (Aaron) Shellhouse of Gomer; eight grandchildren, McKenna, Peyton, and Quinn Shellhouse, Stacie, Andrew, Hannah, Savannah, and Gavin Kipps-Lucius; a great-granddaughter, Raylynn Ickes; three brothers, Gene (Millie) Schoen of Tiffin, Don (Peggy) Schoen of Prospect, and Alan (Debbie) Schoen of Attica; and two sisters, Patricia (Bill) Oliver of Tiffin and Peggy (Kenny) Carrick of Attica.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a nephew, Aaron Schoen.

Ann was a 1963 graduate of Calvert Catholic High School.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the women’s choir, a Life member of Amvets Post 48, and Disabled American Veterans #34.  Ann had worked at Mercy Hospital, three nursing homes here in Tiffin, a pet shop, candy store and Burger King. Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, flowers, taking photos, fishing, turtle trapping, making crafts, cooking and baking, reading books, playing Bingo and traveling to Amish country. She collected angels and enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music.

Visitation for family and friends will be 2 to 5 pm Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113, with a Wake Service at 1:30 pm.

Prayers will be said at 9:30 am Monday, January 15, 2018, at the funeral home, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 am, in St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate.  The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.  Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Calvert Catholic Schools, F.A.C.T., St. Judes Research Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, or the Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
