Alice Marie Sanders, 76, died at 5:10 a.m., Sunday, June 18th, 2006 at Saint Vincent–Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. Alice was born December 21, 1929 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Clarence and Marie (Buchman) Welter. She was married on April 14, 1951 to Charles E. Sanders.
Surviving are four daughters; Mary (Rick) Baldwin, Kettering, OH, Julie Sanders, Toledo, OH, Janine (Scott) Rogerson, Sylvania, OH and Diana (Bob) Trick, Springboro, OH, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and ten siblings.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles Sanders, her daughter Lia Sanders, and three siblings.
Widely traveled, Alice was self actualized as a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother—the foundation of her family, its values and aspirations. Her guiding hand, humor, and strength of personality are missed by all who know and love her.
A graduate of Calvert High School in Tiffin, she also attended Saint Francis College in Indiana. There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2006, with Rev. James Say celebrating. A private burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
