Albert Michael Wahrer, 87, of Kemptville, Ontario, Canada died Sunday, November 24, 2024, peacefully surrounded by family at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice in Kanata, Ontario, Canada.
Albert was born on February 24, 1937, in Tiffin, to Albert Frank and Onda Izetta (Batten) Wahrer. He married Rosemary Ann Snouffer on October 9, 1999, in Tiffin and she survives in Canada. Bert was very proud of making their 25th anniversary milestone.
Other survivors include two stepsons, Richard (Lori) Snouffer and John Snouffer; a stepdaughter, Margaret (Ken) Newman; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jack Wahrer.
Albert was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and served in the US Army. He retired after 21 years at the Tiffin Developmental Center as a maintenance worker. He was a Lions club member for many years and was a member of the Allen Eiry Senior Center in Tiffin. He loved trains, clocks, traveling and music. We would like to thank everyone at the hospice for their dedication and loving care.
Visitation will be 2:30 pm until time of funeral services at 3:30 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024, at the TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113, with Rev. Matthew Rader. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the United Veterans Council of Seneca County.
