Agnes Rita Shultz, age 85, of 109 Gross Street Tiffin, Ohio, died at 8:55 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2003 at her residence.
She was born March 1, 1918 in Ottawa County, Ohio to the late Peter and Margaret (Henz) Sloma. Her husband, Earl J. Shultz, whom she married June 4, 1942 at Camp Claiborne, La. survives.
Other survivors include: 1 son, Kenneth (Penny) Martin-Shultz of Brooklyn Heights, Ohio; 1 daughter, Patricia A. Hohman of Kenton, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, Kathleen Martin-Shultz; Elizabeth Martin-Shultz; Fredrick Martin-Shultz; Russell Martin-Shultz; Matthew Hohman; Jonathan Hohman; Bethany Metter; Benjamin Hohman; and Amanda Hohman; 3 great grandchildren, Kimberly Hohman; Alexander Hohman; Christina Hohman; 2 step great grandchildren, Kylie Metter and Brittney Metter and 1 sister, Margaret O. Smith of Tiffin.
2 brothers, Arthur and Clarence Sloma, and 4 sisters, Irene Sloma, Frances Reiter, Catherine Wilhelm and Sister Mary Leota SND also are deceased.
Mrs. Shultz retired after 32 years as a beautician, owning her own shop. she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, its Rosary Altar Society and the Daughters of Isabella. She also enjoyed bowling.
A funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2003, in St. Joseph catholic church, with the rev. James K. Say officiating. A rosary will be recited in the church 15 minutes prior to the funeral Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. A funeral luncheon will follow the cemetery service in the Upper room of St. Joseph's Activity Center.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
