Adelaide Barry

Adelaide V. Barry, 91, of Tiffin, died at 4:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Elmwood at the Shawhan.

Adelaide was born February 13, 1933, in Hells Kitchen, New York to Edward and Alice Schmidtz. She married Jack Barry March 21, 1954, in West Virginia and he died December 24, 1986.

Survivors include a daughter, Louise Zoeller of Tiffin, a grandson, and a long-time companion, John Rupp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Frieda Beckley.

Adelaide was a retired house cleaner, she cared for many homes and businesses over the years. She loved her casino trips as well as playing B.I.N.G.O. and she was an avid doll collector.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2024, at the TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. 

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the funeral home with Rev. Roxie Roush officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
